Nighttime Skincare is so important as whilst our skin is constantly working to repair its self 24 hours a day, during the night with out the damaging effects of environmental pollutants and UV radiation skincare products can work far more effectively.
The latest two new additions to my nighttime skincare routine are the Nuxellence Detox Night Cream and the Eau Demaquillante Micellaire* with petals of rose (micellar water) it’s such a dreamy combo and one that had been on my beauty radar for quite some time.
The Nuxellence Detox* is one of NUXE best selling items, a multi award winning product (any brand’s bestselling product’s are always worth investigating…) This product is designed to be used at night as the last step of your skincare routine. It’s lightweight, non sticky and a little spreads a long way. The formula contains a blend of botanical extracts including Passion Flower, Anchusa and Poppy it’s 91.7% natural, non-comedogenic and paraben free. It works wonders on aggressive dullness and drained completions (delivering exactly what it says on the tin) the results were noticeable from the first morning my skin looked more energised, hydrated and felt a lot smoother to touch.
I would also recommend it for those who suffer from break out’s (not active acne), have hormonal lumps, flaky skin or those who have sensitive skin and struggle using alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) as the formula doesn’t contain glycolic acid or lactic acid’s yet still delivers similar results. I adored applying this cream at night the texture and fragrance are truly dreamy and it performs exceptionally well. At £48.00 (50ml) for a night cream/treatment this premium brand (whilst not budget) certainly falls into the affordable but luxury category.
Next is such a delightful cleansing water that it has earned a permanent place in my vanity cupboard. I like to stick to 100% or nearly natural beauty products when ever possible when the results are comparable (especially for bath and body products which coat large surface areas) so although I use coconut oil as a makeup remover most days unearthing a makeup remover with 97.4% natural ingredients that delivered impressive results removing even the most stubborn black eye makeup for the days I didn’t want to deal with the messy post coconut oil clean up – perfect.
In a micellar water you should be looking for a gentle yet effective formula of which the Demaquillante Micellaire is both, it’s delicate rose formula is comforting and soothing whilst still being incredibly effective. I also decanted a small amount and popped it into my makeup kit, for use with a cotton bud as a makeup mistake eraser. Suitable for all skin types £9.50 (100ml mini size) This is one – not – to be missed.
