Summer Ready – Tropical Smoothie Recipe’s, with summer just around the corner what better way to get into that holiday mood. So below are two yummy recipes one original and one tropical green which I can honestly say was just as tasty no after taste from the greens at all…..

Tropical Green Smoothie

  • 1 cup mango
  • 1 heaped cup pinapple
  • 1 cup papaya
  • 1½ cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup organic coconut milk
  • 1½ cup cold filtered water
  • 1 tsp Baobab Powder (optional)

Tropical Smoothie

  • 1 cup mango
  • 1 heaped cup pinapple
  • ½ banana
  • ¼ of a small peeled courgette
  • 1 cup organic coconut milk
  • 1 cup cold coconut water
  • 1 tsp Baobab powder (optional)



For both smoothies add all the ingredients and blend together until smooth add a little more filtered water or coconut water if too thick and enjoy.

To give your smoothies an extra health boost I also add Baobab this superfood powder which contains more vitamin C than oranges, more iron than red meat and a rich content of alkalising minerals: calcium, potassium and magnesium. I also top with chia seeds  these nutritional super seeds are energy boosting, blood sugar stabilising, aid in digestion plus they are high in protein, phosphorous and manganese great for bones, tissue growth and repair. They are also one of the richest vegetable sources of omega 3 fatty acids which protect the skin from oxidative stress that accelerates the signs of ageing.
