I’m not exactly sure when my passion (
addiction) for the perfect pair of shoes began, but I confess it definitely had a connection to the character Carrie Bradshaw and her enviable footwear collection. So from uber sleek heels to must have lace up’s today’s wishlist includes a line up of both high street and designer brands and yes you spotted it two pairs of boots! Obsessed or organised? I’m already pining over the new releases for A/W.
Starting at the top with two options of barely-there sandals, one pair designer one pair not (can you tell the difference?) whichever ones you go for they’re my summer heel of choice paired with skinnies/boyfriend jeans or teamed with a mini skirt or shorts, slouchy vest and skinny scarf. Easy city chic.
Moving down to the lace up’s, the ideal way to give any outfit that on trend boost definitely a worthy summer wardrobe addition, having purchased a black pair which are so versatile teamed with jeans or knee-grazing pencil skirt’s I imagine the nude would be just as flattering.
Finally finishing in the center with Valentino Rockstud Double leather sandals and Saint Laurent ‘Cat’ Chelsea boots both with that punky rock ‘n’ roll spirit. *Drool* I have the espadrille version of the Rockstud (they are effortless and so comfortable) but I love this cut too and those boots need I say more…..
It’s so interesting to see the evolution of shoes throughout the ages, the key design styles that remain ageless to this day and the 70’s revival that we are once again coveting this summer.
I think my favourite style from the past would be the 1920’s Gatsby style, What did you like or what’s on your shoe wishlist let me know?
