New Year’s Eve is just a few days away. Hopefully you already know what you’ll be doing and what you’ll be wearing! But if not, I’ve got a little outfit inspiration post in case you are still searching for that perfect party option.
This post pays homage to the iconic LBD and it’s a complete mix, ranging from high street to designer.
Starting off with a little bit of practicality is a long sleeved black dress from H&M at the bargain price of £19.99. This dress also has that clever visual panelling effect design to slim (I had a feeling that might be in need after xmas…) similar here & here.
Next we have shoes from Miss Kirk Geiger (they are now on sale at almost half price at £49 ) – I had actually seen something quite similar, well very similar in Jimmy Choo! These ankle strap shoe boots cover just enough for the colder weather but I’m sure could work with summer shorts too. I can’t stop looking at them. Plus they are super comfy.
The Necklace is from ETSY, I’ve bought so many of these layered type necklaces from Topshop ect as I absolutely love them. But eventually they fade, so I’ve taken the plunge. ETSY has a little treasure chest of independent jewellery designers with a whole range of budgets available to suit all. This one is from Layered + Long and was hand made in America by very cute independent business. I cant wait to wear it tonight and all through the summer with out the fear of the dreaded fade.
The cover up – Yeah this probably could have been a thicker fabric, but its one of those fashion out ways common sense choices. I’ve really loved all the duster coats this season, but this fringed embroidered boho version (which is actually mid thigh length) has got that extra bit of new years glam. This ones from Top Shop It was £70 now on sale for £30.
Nails: I’ve included two of my favourite metallic party nails shades, As they both work so well (See the full post of all the shades plus swatches and links here ) I also included a great tip …. to make metallic nails more edgy and wearable (hint: it includes a top coat that you may already own)
In the Bag: I love bucket bags, It looks like this style will still be around for 2015 as I’ve noticed the shape in a few spring/summer collections. This one is from Stella McCartney. Similar here (ships International) and also here.
