Makeup: Kiss Scrub Stick Review

Makeup: Kiss Scrub Stick Review

I’ve been watching the new makeup brand on the block KISS since they launched KISStick their first product range of 10 highly pigmented lipsticks in April. So when the brand offered me the chance to review their latest product release before its official launch on the 13th May I was only too delighted. I already loved the concept, branding, passion plus how they developed their range with the input of MUA’s and bloggers so I was really hoping their products would be just as impressive…..

Makeup: Kiss Scrub Stick Review

Application / Packaging / Fragrance

I really enjoyed the few minutes I spent massaging and exfoliating my lips to pout perfection. The info sheet I received from kiss HQ suggested storing the balm in a very cool place or the fridge (I couldn’t find this listed again on the item for the consumer though…) and it’s infinitely better used from straight the fridge as the stick remains completely hard making it easier to really swirl, massage and exfoliate the lips. The sugar scrub granules are tiny but perfectly effective, the whole treatment felt soft and luxurious not at all scratchy. I applied, scrubbed and then wiped off any remaining residue before applying lipstick, I personally think this is a scrub to do its job then remove. The fragrance has an almost edible delicate liquorice aroma which I found really delicious. The packaging: cute & practical the lip scrub comes in a twist up tube which I actually like it’s a no mess solution.

Results / Verdict

Whether you’re looking to relieve serious chapping, to achieve a better base for your lipstick application or simply a gentle treat for the senses KISS Scrub Stick* delivers. Do I like this product? Yes, it does exactly what it promises leaves the lips smooth, soft & exfoliated. It cuts down the time and expense of using two products, a lip scrub and then possibly a balm plus it’s not messy and has an affordable price point (£6.50). I wasn’t overly crazy about the taste of this product, which comes from using a mineral oil base as opposed to more natural options, but then that’s just a personal preference. All in all, it was lip-smackingly good!

I’d love to hear what you think? Do you think you will be trying any Kiss Products?

I’ve heard of the brand before but not the product. Actually to be honest I didn’t even think it was a thing to exfoliate your lips. Mine get terribly dry so I am forever using lip balm.

    • Yes it started in the makeup Industry by makeup artists to get a perfectly smooth base to apply lipstick it also helps the colour pigments bond better, thus prolonging the longevity of your lip product. Thank you for the comment k x

  • Ooooh, I love the idea of having a lip scrub in stick form! As much as I love the ones from Lush in the little pots, I feel like they can be rather messy sometimes.
