Make Up For Ever HD – Foundation

Make Up For Ever HD – Foundation

Anyone who has heard of Make Up For Ever would have heard of the HD Foundation. If you haven’t heard of Makeup Forever it’s probably because it was previously quite hard to get hold of here in the UK being previously a product for professional makeup artists only.

I first came across Make Up For Ever quite a few years ago when I was working within  the makeup industry and I guess you can say I fell in love with their range from then. Makeup For Ever was originally designed by a makeup artist for makeup artists and I can easily say it would be one of two foundations I would still have in my kit.

Make Up Forever HD is an oil-free medium to full coverage foundation that doesn’t look heavy. The texture just melts into the skin for a flawless, natural finish. I apply the product from the middle of my face outwards in upward movements then with a foundation buffing brush I lightly Buff in circular motions until I’m happy with the final result.

This foundation looks almost invisible whilst still providing coverage that lasts through an entire day with ease by the end of the day, the results are still luminous but not greasy. You could set it with HD powder using a kabuki brush (Remember to remove any excess powder with a clean brush) but  for everyday wear I really don’t find it necessary.

I wouldn’t  normally wear a primer with this foundation for everyday wear, I find it doesn’t need one and can clog up pores. If you have oily skin you could use a primer on your t zone such as MAC Prep + prime fix  or Make Up Forever have a nifty product called Stop Shining which basically eliminates all traces of shine for several hours.

Make Up Forever can be purchased online at Precious About Makeup in the UK.

So there, you have it, it’s definitely one of my favourite foundations as it just sits so beautifully on the skin.

Have You tried this Foundation? Or do you have another you just can’t live without? Let me know.

Thanks for the suggestion but it would have to compete with Laura Mercier as my favourite foundation and Bobbi Brown tinted moisturiser for a ‘barely-there’ dewy look.
