Make up forever has some truly amazing lipstick collections, so before they hit our stores in May here’s the lowdown about what to expect from Make Up Forever’s lip colour lines. Make Up Forever have two lipstick collections Rouge Artist Natural and Rouge Artist Intense plus a water proof lip colour called Aqua Rouge and newly released is Plexi-Gloss, a Laqueur vinyl effect, hi-shine lip gloss (other gloss lines incl: Glossy Full Couleur, a high shine gloss and Super Lip Gloss a tinted gloss).
Rouge Artist Intense
Rouge Artist Intense is a lipstick line which is saturated with pigments (50% more than the normal range) delivering an intense result. It’s designed to give a rich colour payoff in just one stroke and is available in 50 shades with finishes including pearl, cream, & matte (the matte shades are hugely popular in this range) If your a bright lippy fan this range is definitely one to try. Wear Time: 6 hours plus.
Tip: If you’re going for a bold lip look (which this range is perfect for) you may want to exfoliate the lip first then prep the area with something like Dr.PawPaw lip balm (it’s made out of fermented fruits & is gorgeous) so the pigments can fully absorb thus providing a better finish and staying power.
Rouge Artist Natural
I just adore this range, as someone who prefers more of a natural lip this range is effortless, it’s easy to apply has a beautiful creamy hydrating formula and gorgeous translucent shine all in one stroke (although it can be blotted and layered up for a richer colour). It’s available in 52 shades with finishes including cream, iridescent and diamond. It’s the perfect starter lipstick and offers some great shades for the current boho 70’s trend. Wear Time: 5 hours plus
This is part of Make Up Forever’s Aqua range, which makes it extremely stable and very long lasting. This lip product comes in two parts the base which is matt colour is applied first and left to dry. Once dry the second part which is a clear gloss is applied for lustre. It’s available in 12 shades all matt to gloss finishes. Wear time 6 hours plus although the gloss top coat may need to be re applied. Note: Aqua Rouge requires a waterproof makeup remover to take off the base colour or alternately you can use coconut oil. It’s a really impressive formula that definitely provides less lipstick worries particularly for bolder colours.
Make Up Forever’s new release a super high-gloss, high-impact vinyl-shine finish gloss. It’s an incredibly smooth glossy formula (not overly sticky) that delivers an intense vivid colour payoff. It’s suggested for use with a waterproof liner (such as Aqua Lip) and possibly a lip primer to avoid feathering. It’s available in 35 shades with finishes including cream and pearl (which is almost a crushed pearl effect not glitter) Wear time: It’s quite stable and long lasting so up to 5 hours although as it’s a gloss that’s completely dependent on what the wearer is doing.

So as you can see there is a huge amount of choice with colour selection’s not all of which will be available in the condensed range due to launch in Debenhams but Make Up Forever is stocked in it’s entirety via the lovely PAMS which can purchased online or in store. It’s the highlight of my day popping into PAMS there’s so many makeup treasures to try not to mention the advice and recommendations as it’s owned and run by makeup artists.
