Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream – Stay All Day Makeup

Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream - Stay All Day Makeup

Part two of the Make Up For Ever mini-series featuring Aqua Cream – The second most popular range from the French cosmetic brand Make Up For Ever. This really is one of the most ingenious and versatile products, originally designed for use by synchronised swimmers the formula once dry is completely waterproof and there within lies one of it’s impressive strengths.

We all want makeup that doesn’t crease/ smudge or budge all day and that’s exactly what aqua cream delivers, once set this magical cream will not transfer or budge from even the most oily of eyelids. You might also be mistaken for thinking Aqua Cream is simply a cream shadow, far from it Aqua Cream can be used as an eyeliner, lip colour, blusher or body paint.

Formula: The formula of Aqua Cream is not quite as suggested as it’s not really a cream, it’s more of a soft solid (almost balm ish) consistency. All 27 shades are highly pigmented and give immediate intense colour with a luminous finish (with the exception of 27 which is a matte black). The consistency is smooth and velvety making it heavenly to blend out.

Use: Once applied to the eyelid (face/body) the formula is very fast drying, I would suggest for eyes working quickly on one eye per time and whenever the product is not in use put the lid straight back on or simply turn the pot upside down on your work surface (or the product will dry out). Even though the formula is quick drying the buttery formula ensures it’s still super easy to apply and blend. All Aqua Creams can only be removed with an oily remover.

Customise: To create customized looks, you can add other products to Aqua Cream such as loose glitters, strasses, star Powder and diamond Powder (MUFE products) you can create new colours by blending two shades together. For cheeks use alone or on top of your existing blush to create lift and luminosity. Lips, colours can be used alone or custom blended. The possibilities are endless.

Favourites: I couldn’t end without a nod to my favourite shades, 12 which is a full rich copper with lift, perfect for festivals, 70’s inspired eyes or for a simple one shade every day eye. 13 (also the most popular selling colour) if you love easy to wear champagne esq colours you will love this, from every day to bridal, holidays or nights out this one covers all the bases. Finally number 27 the only matte shade of the bunch, a smooth velvety matte black the perfect liner for cat flick eyes that really do stay put all day.

I hope you enjoyed the second part of my mini haul series from PAMS (precious about makeup) featuring Make Up For Ever, feel free to keep letting me know anything you would like me to cover in the future.

Would you consider trying Aqua Cream or do you have a favourite shade? Let me know.

That’s so cool that they are completely waterproof. Getting it off may be a bit of a concern though! Also, if it’s French, did you purchase it online?

    Thanks 🙂

    • Hi Amy yes it sounds a bit of an ordeal at the end of a day ect, but it’s really not “any” remover with oil (or coconut oil my favourite eye remover at night) and it just slips off no trouble. You can buy them via pams shop/online store I prefer them as they stock the entire MUFE range (link in the post) or Debenhams. Thanks for stopping by. K x

  • Oh wow I love the fact these stay all day – I might have to treat myself! x

    • Yes so easy pop it on and it just stays.. Thanks for the comment. k x

Where can I buy this??? Sounds perfect for my wedding make-up. I was in MAC today and tried their base, non-budge cream formula, it looked good but this looks IDEAL! Thank you. Xxx

    • Thanks J, Yes it really is a great formula it’s available in Pams shop/online store (the link is in the post) or via Debenhams. You may need to have a practice with it first as it is very fast drying so it’s not like your normal cream shadow but the finished effect is amazing.
