In Praise Of Loungewear – A Haul

You may only reserve your comfy loungewear for home, but I like to bridge the gap somewhat and find loungewear that looks as stylish at home as it does out and about. To update my loungewear collection for spring I was searching for some fresher shades sophisticated khakis, cloudy greys and soft, blush pink’s so if you’re a fan of no-fuss dressing here’s my latest Lux and high street additions.

First up is the black boyfriend v neck t-shirt from Missguided I purchased this t-shirt in white last year which I loved, I’m a girl loyal to Topshop on most occasions when it comes to plain everyday tee’s but thus far misguided have been luring me away with slighty lower prices and impressive quality. This tee (even in white) is not see through it’s thick, drapey, slouchy and slightly silky and tucks in perfectly.

The Khaki Contrast Joggers (also from Missguided) capture comfort perfectly whilst still looking on trend and playful I usually pair with a biker or bomber jacket and my ever faithful Stan Smiths.

The space dye active jumpsuit brings a little spring softness with a lighter shade this is my favourite item, it’s from the American brand Splendid which I picked up in the ASOS sale – bargain!

Next a white failsafe white tee is always a smart investment, this one from Acne has the extra frayed detail on the sleeves and hem, the quality is well as you would expect – incredible – and whether dressed down or paired with my “other” favourite type of attire skinny jeans and bikers it’s the perfect comfy-chic option.

Finally, active wear that blur’s into lounge wear? – case in point this slogan tee with mesh racer back – Believe Achieve – yoga, sofa, holiday….endless everyday options.

What’s your favourite loungewear brand or combination?

  • I really need some new gym clothes- sorry your picture just reminded me. Anyway when I started to become self-employed and work from home, I invested in some comfy lounge wear as I didn’t want to be in my PJ all day, as you feel really unproductive. It nice to put on and feel all comfy and cosy. My husband think I look a total slob but I just ignore him. xx

    • Ha! I have exactly the same issue with my husband, but comfort is a must – I’m a loungewear addict so he’s used to me now … Thanks for stopping by 🙂 k x

Oh my gosh, I was literally planning to look in to the idea of elegant chic loungewear, as I have just finished reading Marie Kondo’s ‘Art of Tidying’ and she is a big advocate of elegant loungewear. I love her book by the way, it’s transformed my home and way of home living. The next step is wardrobe up-grade – you’ve given me a good place to start!

    • Oh I’ve heard a lot about that book! Thanks for the lovely feedback as always k 🙂 x
