There’s been a host of exciting new skincare and makeup launches for 2015 all of which make me want to skip straight to the beauty halls. So although a few are on the luxurious side here’s the products that have caught my eye so far this season.
I’m going to start with the product that I’m looking forward to purchasing most, now it may seem a strange choice but as a beauty therapist/MUA I’ve always been obsessed with sun protection (an obsession that has been rewarded in my skin’s condition now) as we know sun filters need to be applied regularly (every few hours) to maintain protection so this little invention from Goldfaden filled me with absolute joy. A light sun protection you can spray over your makeup without looking oily. A touch-up, Genius! It’s half chemical half mineral (all mineral would have been better) but I’m not complaining and can’t wait to pick this one up.
Next there’s a little Tom Ford happening on this list these two products are just perfect for summer I’ve tried this cream blush in pink sand and regret not purchasing it, it’s such a delightful light fresh shade that can be layered up and has just the tiniest bit of illuminants in the formula to create that fresh dewy look. I’ve also heard amazing things about the shade naked bronze in the cream and powder pots so although not cheap I know that cream shade will work for a multitude of looks year-round giving a fresh neutral eye.
Skincare I’m back into vitamin C preparations of late and they seems to be popping up in brands all over the place apart from restoring the skin’s luminosity vitamin C is high in anti-oxidants. I do currently love using the one from LA ROSHE-POSAY (read my brand focus & review here) but those two still look tempting.
Next the Intense Defence – Antioxidant Serum from Zelen’s (which is still pre-order only) I wasn’t convinced with antioxidant formulas previously (a few years ago) but the latest releases have really changed my mind. This one’s not cheap but sounds amazing combining not one but four antioxidant scavenging compounds.
Finally, the BBU Bobbi Brown Palette which I’m replacing in my pro kit. It contains 13 colour correctors 14 creamy concealers and 20 foundation shades. It’s available for general purchase on the Bobbi Brown site (or with a pro discount with proof of certification) If you’re looking to get into makeup I would really recommend this palette.
So that’s my Beauty: Skincare & Makeup Wishlist for this season, let me know what you think or what’s on your beauty radar?
