Detox. Seaweed is a bathtime addition I’ve been wanting to trial for some time. Seaweed is known for it’s health-inducing dietary benefits but what effect does it have in the bath? Seaweed is one of the ocean’s timeless treasures, fostering beauty, health and vitality it’s rich in antioxidants that work to soften and enliven the skin whilst encouraging cell renewal, it’s also packed with minerals that are absorbed transdermally replenishing and revitalising the body, finally it’s well known for detoxifying, seaweed draw’s out toxins unloading the lymph system and thus allowing a more radiant skin to shine through. (You can read my previous post on DIY detox baths here)
Haeckel’s seaweed bath consists of 100% wild British hand harvested bladderwrack seaweed. The seaweed comes in a cute little drawstring bag which allows you to upgrade any bath with a seaweed boost. It feels very virtuous especially if I feel uber drained or sluggish. The packet is pre-measured designed for one use over three separate occasions but as the seaweed has quite a pungent aroma I prefer popping in just two or three handfuls. It’s a spa like ritual that’s easy and effective to recreate at home.
Rinse: Whilst bathing in a natural product is for me is a must for washing and rinsing I’m quite happy to adjust, especially for one of my favourite fragrance houses. Byredo’s instantly recognisable minimal packaging and unusual scent’s are quite unlike anything else available. La Tulipe is one of Byredo’s signature scent’s a blend of rhubarb, cyclamen, freesia, heart of tulip and base of blonde woods and vetiver. The La Tulip body wash is an exquisite way to sample this iconic french brand.
I would love to hear any of your favourite bath time tips.
