5 Ingredients To Create A Cosy Halloween At Home

If your are looking forward to a cosy Halloween at home this year, here’s five fright night ingredients to create the perfect night in.

Even if you’re not planning on going out trick or treating, you can still be part of the seasonal fun whilst staying warm inside there’s so many cute Halloween themed pj’s for a fuss free cosy #HallowIN outfit or simply a fun slogan tee with joggers.*

Injecting a touch of spooky decor can be as easy a lighting a few stacks of pillar candles around your room (I’m not usually a fan of sweet scent’s but Yankee candle’s in Pumpkin Spice or Fireside treats are actually perfectly fragranced for Halloween) popping out a few pumpkins the mini ones are so cute and although we don’t seem to have those beautiful alabaster ones they have in the USA painting orange ones with white craft paint gives a very similar minimal look.

Eats – Keep it simple make a delicious pumpkin soup with the insides of your carved pumpkins or re-name an old favorite for the night like fungus tart instead of mushroom and don’t forget a few at home treats, cupcakes anyone?

Drinks – Virgin or not it’s up to you but here’s three delicious options to warm your bones: Pumpkin Spice Latte , The Poison Apple or Spiced Pumpkin Pie Tea by Bluebird & Co.

Games – Halloween wouldn’t be the same without Jack O lanterns, why not hold a competition to see who can carve the best design or doughnut’s on a string this  – No Hands Allowed – game is a classic for any age.

Finally, after the feast and frolics are over settle down pull up a blanket, snuggle up and end the night with some Halloween movie horror. Here’s a few appropriate titles: The Addams Family, Corpse Bride, Scream, Dracula Untold or Alien.

I love Halloween – Thriller is a must! I always dress up and make some themed cupcakes whatever’s happening. This year I’m having some friends over to watch Strictly Come Dancing’s Halloween week. Such a grandma!

I love Halloween, although I prefer to keep the movies fun rather than spooky, so Hocus Pocus works for me!

I love cosying up on halloween and watching the nightmare before Christmas with my gingerbread and pumpkin spiced candles burning. x

  • Spice-scented candles are my absolute favourite! I’ll be catching up on the Walking Dead and Fear the Walking dead this Halloween as I’ve missed a few weeks.
